Me, Myself and I for Christmas Holidays !

And here we are, this weekend is Christmas and already since last week, we ask the question between friends and colleagues: who does what for Christmas or more generally for the holidays? Some take a few days and return to their families, others stay at home in small groups. For my part, with my new job, I did not want to take (already) days off and pay me a return by plane which costs an arm. In fact, I prefer to save my days of vacation and return to Biarritz when I could enjoy the beach 😉 So I stay in Paris and I would celebrate Christmas alone like a big girl! It sounds sad, says it like that, but for having experienced it several times, I find it rather nice. It all depends on our state of mind and how we see things. For my part, instead of mortifying or ruminating on myself by telling me that I’m going to celebrate Christmas all alone as a poor girl, I prefer to take the thing on the opposite way and precisely do the opposite. How? Inviting myself for Christmas. Yes, I have appointment with me, myself and I for Christmas and I admit to find it rather cool! As for several months I run in all directions and am brought to meet quite a lot of people, this weekend will be the opportunity to find myself quiet in my little cozy nest and to be honest I am so pleased. And here we are, this weekend is Christmas and already since last week, we ask the question between friends and colleagues: who does what for Christmas or more generally for the holidays? Some take a few days and return to their families, others stay at home in small groups. For my part, with my new job, I did not want to take (already) days off and pay me an A / R by plane which costs an arm. In fact, I prefer to save my days of vacation and return to Biarritz when I could enjoy the beach 😉 So I stay in Paris and I would celebrate Christmas alone as a great! It sounds sad, says it like that, but for having experienced it several times, I find it rather nice. It all depends on his state of mind and how we see things. For my part, instead of mortifying or ruminating on my lot by telling me that I’m going to celebrate Noel all alone as a poor girl, I prefer to take the thing on the opposite foot and precisely do the opposite. How? Inviting myself for Christmas. Yes, I have appointment with me, myself and I for Christmas and I admit to find it rather cool! As for several months I run in all directions and am brought to meet quite a lot of people, this weekend will be the opportunity to find myself quiet in my little cozy nest, while I am pleased. So here, Saturday evening I would have an appointment with myself and on the program, I planned a real Christmas dinner with foie gras on gingerbread toast, crab claws and a Seafood assortment that I would have booked and search to the Oyster seller all accompanied by asparagus (perfect as a vegetable to stay light!). For dessert it will surely be a Royal from Picard with a bottle of Laurent Perrier that I intend to extend for the lunchtime and evening of the 25th. The rest of my evening and weekend will be spent warm, under the duvet to surely re-watch Love Actually and other “feel-good movie”.

And for my Christmas outfit, obviously I could spend the evening in pajamas, after all, nobody will see me … But I like the idea of being the host of myself and that’s why this “Outfit of the Day” will also be my outfit for Christmas 🙂 Both chic and casual! The point of departure was my pleated skirt midi metallized powdered pink that I associated with a knitted sweater red / orange and I like the detail of the sleeves flared. A wide belt to mark the waist, high-heeled boots to go with the Midi skirt and squint the silhouette, my down jacket and a small vintage leopard bag and I’m ready for Christmas 😉 And if like me, you’re going to spend Christmas alone and that this idea depresses you, I hope that this little post and my way of seeing things will inspire you 😉
