The good thing in the Basque Country, is that there’s always plenty things to see, do and discover! I bring you with me on a guided tour.
Let’s start with the southern part of the Basque Country, more precisely Hendaye. On the Atlantic coast, this is the last French town before Spain. The beach is long, the sea is usually calm and there’s these small colorful tents pitched on the sand, which gives a little retro charming spirit (photo above). From there we go back through the Corniche to get to Saint Jean de Luz. We watch the fishing boats moored in the port before they leave the sea to bring us the local fish such as tuna, sardines, bass, hake … we go through the promenade overlooking the main beach of St Jean de Luz, the beach is crowded, it’s hot and tasting a little ice cream with sea views is much needeed 😉
New day, new set! We discovered with surprise in the countryside after Bayonne, fields of sunflowers blooming. Obviously with Paolo (who was ok that I publish a photo of him where he is not hidden behind his lens ^^) we took the opportunity to have fun (without damaging anything, of course!) In all yellow fields and took some pictures before leaving in the direction of Hossegor / Capbreton.
Now that you know Paolo, I’d like to introduce my mom (pictured below). When I am in Biarritz, it’s her who take my picture for the “look of the day“, so for once we turned the tables. Me behind the lens and her striking the pose 😉 And yes, I take advange of this post to introduce you to my family. It’s been 4 years since I created this blog, so I want to say it’s time to make introductions of my relatives and loved ones ^^
Also, it’s with my mom that we often walk though Biarritz pacing up and down. From the beach to the port, the Sea Museum … and back through the city center by going to taste the excellent ice cream at Henriet!
