If this is not the typical outfit of the surfer girl! We could take back my summer outfits in the early 90s, it would be the same. The swimsuit that protrudes from the loose sleeveless t-shirt, to the color (falsely) passed by the sun and the photo of Andy Warhol … The time to put this post online, I remember as a child, looking with admiring the Best International Surfers of that time, Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Sunny Garcia … during the International Surf competitions that took place at the Grande Plage of Biarritz. I went to get my mom to work at the Miramar, (the beach next to La Grande Plage), then go watch the competitions. A little later, at the entrance to college, I had even dared to ask for autographs from Sunny Garcia and Rob Machado to stick the poster in my room;) Because like the top models of the 90s, this generation of Surfers was considered as superstars. It was magical that time! Is that the reason why I wanted to surf, I don’t know, but I think I have been greatly influenced 🙂
Returning to the outfit, I love this t-shirt specially created for the collaboration between the surf brand Billabong and Andy Warhol. It is the perfect t-shirt for the beach because with its neckline and very indented armhole, we do not fear the unpleasant sensation of salty skin on the cotton that hangs. I wear it with a mini denim skirt, my nude Havaianas flip-flops and my beloved little basket Sun Jelly. Also, I found this small turquoise necklace in a shop in the Rue Poissonnerie in Bayonne which sells stones as well as the jewels they create and which happens to be perfect to accessorize my outfit as well as my new sunglasses Mr Boho.
